Reviews and Ratings
The hotel overlooks a beautiful garden and fountain with a few drawbacks in terms of lighting and layout. The service was attentive, although some areas were out of bounds. The location offers a serene sanctuary despite some need for refurbishment. Dining options had both positive and negative aspects worth considering.
My stay at the hotel was mixed. The rooms didn't meet Marriott standards due to the smell of cigarettes from smoking and lack of knowledge on glassware. The service felt confused and lacked proper maintenance support. The location, however, was peaceful with stunning views over the golf course, while dining was a hit or miss experience with some great options and some disappointing ones.
The hotel has beautiful surroundings and a rich history. The rooms were a good size and very clean, although they don't match the main original building. The service was exceptional, with polite staff and thoughtful gestures for special occasions. The location offers amazing views and is complemented by excellent spa and fitness facilities. The dining experience was delicious and exceeded expectations, with a wide range of tasty options. However, the stay was slightly let down by a very poor and expensive dinner as well as a below-average breakfast.
